                       Presidents Day 

                                    ( Monday February 15 ) 

Presidents Day is an American holiday celebrated on the third Monday of February. Originally established in 1885 in recognition of George Washington. It is officially " George's Birthday"  by the federal law. George, Lincoln , and William were all born of February but none are close to the date they wanted it to be Presidents day but by law they decided to make it the 3 Monday of February. I honor of the man who commanded the Continental Army and led the American colonies to victory in the Revolutionary War, served as the first president of the United Sates of America. He earned the sobriquet " The Father of our Country," Washington's Birthday was celebrated with more patriotic than any other holidays such as Fourth of July.The holiday became more popular and became known as Presidents Day . After it was moved as part if 1971's Uniform Monday Holiday Act an attempt to create more three-day weekends for the nation's workers.
